* she wrinkled her nose at his explanation thinking given a chance she didn't care, she burn those lightening.static demons. it was not natural but simply nodded when he asked if it was better seeing him now soaked and looking much cooler and happier then a moment before.* You dress in things without comfort..........why go to that place then? everything is here. water, food, shelter, clothes..why go to the place of white monsters? why? vampires also there...........I have smelt their rotting flesh even here. Do you not see the danger?
Lorenda again only watched saying nothing as she watched her friend take time to interact this go around and nodded content for now fading into the back ground so they might learn and become she hoped friends.*
*Winter so wise for her time was so naive and innocent in this and found she could not grasp how those could not see or sense the dangers around them or pollute what was home. she watched Dio a moment never expecting a answer and simply pushed herself off the ledge silently falling beneath the water to enjoy the coolness touching her flesh for long moments before surfacing with the slip of sudden laughter passing her lips*

"I dress in what modern people dress, to blend in and without frighten them with knowledge of monsters." Because surly if something like him existed then their could and would be things much worse, things that were not their to protect them but devour them. "You can find what is needed here to survive, yes." Though for how long a place like this would remain untouched by the ever expanding human race...IT wasn't really their fault though, They didn't know what they were doing anymore then a child knows cutting down that branch to use as a toy sword wounds the tree. "If not me then who would protect the blind, innocent, people from the wyld Wyrm that corrupts the order of this world? I would not leave parts of my mother to rot so easily." It was both a truth and a bit of an admonishment really. What did she mean, why go? The essence of all beast kin was to protect Gaia? Seline would frown on him for abandoning his heritage, like the White Howlers who fell into depravity in the spirals. Though he is of the moon and the wolf of the earth their respective places were still to protect this realm! Him blessed with this damnable white appearance even more so, touched by the moon they called him...in the world they called it a genetic anomaly, while he believed still that it was a blessing to be so pure white, they had a point that hunting wise he stood out painfully much. Their was something he admired in the natural oranges and creamy tan of his other kin.
"Besides all that however....How else would I find my home?" Sure you could move wherever you wanted and live....and home was really a matter of perspective certainly but he missed his jungle. He missed the spirits there. He missed his teachers, for they were the only family he had ever known since he was very young.

*Her laughter of a moment ago faded into dense forest as she swam to the edge so she might touch the bottom, listening as he spoke. Moments seemed to pass in what appeared perhaps forever, with the silence of his words fading with the running of the stream as she frowned taking her time to reply.*
"Lorenda explained what you call modern..... The wyld wyrm."*She paused shaking her head and closing her eyes recalling* "Their, far to long, So long my home is gone. What you seek I have no longer. Those now who remember my clan, are simply a shadow of what was. Condemn me you sound as you do, because all I have left is this and would think I leave my mother to rot? or Gaia?"
*Her eyes flashed then glared at him threw slits*"Pup, you know nothing, or from where I come from......You think these woods simply protect themselves? You think the rot outside this place will simply never find this or my heaven? This is forest HOME, for all of us. Not Jungle...what is Jungle? Spirit pup, ask Spirits where home is you wonder in the Wrym and think to find home? They will lead away from home not show you the way."
*she suddenly looked disgusted as she turned away and dived back under the water not appearing again until she was further down and on the other shore line climbing out soaked to lay on the shore farthest from him.*
*Lorenda sighed seeing this was not going well and looked to the other spirits asking if she should intervene. Her silence was deafening as she tilted her head listening, then with a slight nod her ghostly form faded back into the trees surrounding the two.*

"I cant find familiar spirits here to ask! You talk because your old home is lost but I know my Jungle is out there still, and not surrounded on all sides by the Weavers madness. How do you protect a place from within? My clan sends us out to fight, we don't wait for it to come." How the hell do you fight with something that isn't there, he wondered as he pulled himself out of the water now as well his tail twitching at the tip despite hanging on his frame heavy with water, his hand absently grabbing it to slick the water away. Free of the water his human frame was more apparent, his mussels moved wrong for a creature in larger forms. His tail still twitching as he wrung out his hair.
"My jungles make this place look tame and small the trees are so big you could build a whole wrym house on one of them and it would still be swallowed by it. Vines devour the ground as hungrily as the dirt spreads here and the animals have more colors there. I have no family there but my teachers....and for all I know they didn't wake up in a zoo, their spirits might be free within the jungles Umbra now." He flicked his ears. "I was suppose to have guilds in this concrete wilderness...but none if them made it here but me. So think what you like about your forest, I suppose at least you won't have to see the madness brought to the world weaver by the wyrm. You might be right anyway..." Her wolven brothers were thriving after all while his clan was slowly dying. "Maybe the other wolf kin here will be more to your liking anyway. I use to be very smart..it seems since I've arrived I've become very stupid. Your not the first wolf to bite a cat." He had the scars to prove it to but it didn't matter. "I'm hungry wolf kin, I'm going to check my traps now. Selene bless you with Better luck finding your way in this world then me." He was picking up his things and stuffing them half haphazardly under one arm/ "I'll bring you back a rabbit if I'm so lucky to have caught one."

*As he turned away and the last words and passed his lips she was suddenly standing then transforming into a very large and grace full black timber wolf, but much larger then the species it's self, but considered small even for those of her clan, skilled and more deadly if she had to be, because of her size back then against the abnormally larger ones of her kind. She leaped across the distance and in another instant, leaping upon his back with such force they tumbled scattering his things as she rolled away. Getting up on all fours she simply glared at him for one insult at another he thrown at her showing just what he did not know in his innocence not stupidity showing just how young he was.Wise he might be about this strange new world but the other.........she simply shook her head. She said not another words, for they were only a weapon to sharpen and let loose to bury themselves like sharp bards into ones soul and ego, making any conversation into a growling match at this point even as she stood their blocking a easy exit from a highly charged disagreement.*

His things did scatter but his body wasn't part of the tumble. He could slip in and out of the Umbra like most creatures slipped through water, his slender body rolling in the spirit and back out again slid the large white tiger he was, but their was no smile on his feline features the blue in his human eyes was gone replaced by the red of his albino nature, his tail twitching angrily. He had ended the conversation, he thought, because she did not want to speak to him. They had completely different opinions on reality. This was not new to him. Many disagreed with his view. Most of them just laughed. Then he had offered to bring her food, not because she couldn't have done it herself but because the offering was polite when he had been hunting these lands long before she had arrived and taken them for herself, he had not argued the claim only offered to share his spoils and she had attacked him! A rumble in his chest showing his agitation to punctuate the already twitching tail. He walked a few steps only, the size of his frame alone was more then most adults of his clan and the mussels spoke not of just solid strength but feline speed. He tried not to start fights....but he had no idea what she expected of him. As far as manners, thus far she had shown him next to none. Their opinion obviously differed: Called him Deaf! Threatened to destroy his blade! Made him strip down in the middle of the forest without knowing he had anything else on. Criticized his view of the present world, And after asking for a Truce of peace, attacked him while his back was turned! He dug his talons into the soil underfoot hating the feel of the dirt, hating the acidic odor of the city that now reached his sensitive feline nose. He had come to protect a spirit, that spirit has asked him to help her friend. He had meet her friend on her terms, shared his embarrassments hoping to earn her trust at the very least, shared his fear of being lost, of losing people he cared about as well. She had shot down his very existence with blind words. Not the same lost! No SHIT, who the hell else was going to get sucked into the Umbra by wyrm spawn to save anyone knowing they would likely never see them again to verify they survived at all! IT was a cheap, sad trick at best. To her he was no one but a naive child. She didn't need his company nor did she appear to want his help.
A growl of language irregular to the mouth trying to speak it. "You chastise me for being naive, yet you know nothing about the world today, you ask me questions but you dislike the answers I offer. When I try to leave, rather then fight, you attack me. What do you want from me? I can't change the world back, I barely know or recognize this one. You don't seem to care for it anyway so why stop me! At least if the taint swallowed me you wouldn't be offended any more!" He didn't understand her time because he had not lived in it and she didn't appear to give a wit about his own. He was so uncomfortable in this place thinking about home he could be sick but then where would that get him but weak before the tireless enemy.

*Lorenda watched the two......thinking well Winter had met her match, but both to stubborn to see they had much in common but threw insults at one another without intention in the beginning, until every word was now mint to cut deeper then the deadly claws and teeth they had. She appeared in the moment between the two*"stop the both of you. both of you act as cubs and pups. neither listening to the other. Yes both of you are guilty. feeling as if the other isn't listening to the others woes. one accusing the other of not caring and being selfish..or stupid? you both should be ashamed.quit assuming one or the other does nothing to keep the Wrym at bay."
*In that moment she thought if she been flash again she beat them both with a moccasin as the elder women used to do when they were children falling silent with a personal thought all her own and she watched them both, arms folded in front of her appearing to tap her foot impatiently at two very bad children.* "be civil or i and the other spirits as will Gaia will make you kiss and make up."

Great so it was all just a great pity contest to the spirits, wonderful. It was a wonder he had ever learned anything at all from them now. Maybe he had just dreamed his entire life till now? Might as well be true, would certainly explain his social skills. The great cat huffed his stomach growling in protest to his lack of food, he had after all worked very hard all morning. His shift back through the spectrum to his homid state his tail still flicking behind him as he scooped up his jeans and stuffed his legs back into them grabbing his offending tail and stuffing it forcibly back around his waist, which was really the only thing that kept the pants on his slender waist-ed frame. If he had shifted while wearing these they would have been ruined unlike the white fabric ones which were bonded to him, another rare gift among the clans, bonded clothing was considered very special and reserved for those who commanded respect.
Did he deserve even half of all these gifts?
"Alright....so...What can I offer to help with exactly?" He was zipping up his faded jeans and trying not to catch any of the fur in the zipper.

*Winter had listened to Lorenda and knowing her thoughts were traveling the same path as his words spoke and shifted back appearing as she when she met him clothed but her attention drawn to the sound of the zipper and her eyes watching as she was suddenly there slapping his hands away unzipping them again and zipping them again forgetting their argument with this strange thing he called clothing and her own hunger as her stomach growled of it's own accord.*"She thought teeth that do not bite but eat but do not eat his flesh."
*Spirit or not Lorenda watching her friends distraction suddenly vanished as she laughed watching her antics and knowing her friend did not once consider how improper her actions might seem.....at least she didn't try ripping them off him to play with a zipper she found fascinating on it's workings.*

This might have been fine if some what awkward were his tail not dangerously tucked around his waist. "Wait, wait...!!!!" Fur bristled in panic and small metal teeth and clasp were relatively unforgiving in devouring it, because certainly she had no concept of personal space and little to no knowledge of the fact these tiny little metal objects tore fur free of flesh once captured thus. His ears stood rigid on end even as it happened and he clenched teeth in semi frustration for he did this often enough on his own without help. "My tail...." He sighed now wishing he had a pair of scissors versus tearing the offending fur free of the teeth. "Is it normal for women of high standing to grab things around a mans waist in your era?" Just a little space for a moment? "Today's clothing comes with many tricky little accessories dangerous to individuals with fur." She didn't look like she would suffer any such problem ever in her life and he wondered why he was cursed with such terrible luck. Then again she should have been around the first time he had seen a hotdog stand or a microwave. "Cars are gonna be fun I can tell." He still preferred to walk. Loved fans and air conditioners though. He was trying not to think of the gut wrenching pain of yanking out a finger width of fur from the delicate appendage that was unfortunately connected to his spine and every nerve their in.

*she slapped his hand away as she herd his words wait and did not stop until he mentioned his tail then only leg go with mentioning exactly where her hands where even if she wasn't boldly touching HIM. blushing and looking down she saw the other items he dropped and picked them up forgetting the awkward moment flapping them back and forth to smack herself on he thigh.*"ouch" she sniffed them to wrinkle her nose and pull if away looking at him then it and smacking him with it.*"Bug killer........useful is you sit all day and wish to keep them off you. cars? *she shrugged at the strange word began flapping both the things now on her hands then clapping with them. She didn't get why anyone would want to smack bugs with it but for now it was amusing forgetting she left him not on purpose with fur stuck in evil teeth she been playing with but a moment ago.*

Ow....was about all his mind could process by the pain of being slapped with a sandal, it was dull compared to the tearing of fur as he wrenched his now fully fluffed white stripped tail free. Tears threatening his eyes as it swayed irritably this way and that now with a tiny little patch of fur missing. Grown bloody child, she was no better then he was certainly. He fixed the zipper once more with a sigh though his tail was not bound within which meant he had to hold the waist for the moment or lose the jean anyway. "They are not for killing bugs, though they do get used for that a lot....they are meant for your feet." He grabbed his Glaive next and strapped it back where it belonged hidden on his person in plane sight almost like a chameleon but forced to be less noticeable by its cover making it seem unimportant. "There is a lot of strange things more interesting to see then zippers and flip flops if you are willing venture outside the forest. Besides...I'm getting truly hungry so I'm sure you are as well. Being in the Umbra you did not need to eat but outside....oh the thirst after a long journey!"

*She looked up as she clapped the sandals together arching her brow when he said they were for feet? she sat down then tried placing them on her own...the little fabric peace going over her foot and catching the between the toe. She made sounds of displeasure at the feel but stood up looking down at them huge on her.*"Better as bug kille.....Food?"*raising her head up to look at him as her stomack growled again. She could only nod at that point realizing just hard starved she really was. when was the last time she had anything? he was right ...her last meal had actually been in her village before she let the Wrym take her.*

He liked sandals a hell of a lot better then shoes, they made his feet sweat, and put to much restriction on his claws. He tucked his tail once again and tied the bandana back in to place to cover his ears. "Its a little hard to get some things fresh these days, so I've been setting traps here to try to get cleaner meat." He doubted the statement could really be appreciated till after you had experienced the modern age convenience store food. "Can I have my flip flops?" He really didn't care if he walked bare foot through the city his feet bore the callouses for it but the store was a little harder to get into without them. He was already leading the way out now back toward the city, though the route was not direct he did still need to check the traps, leaving animals caught in them for more then a few hours was just cruel, and while he preferred hunting himself to using traps...well it brought unwanted attention. Most of the traps were bare however but for a few wild pigeon...well this would get interesting these things lived off the waste of the city. It beat supermarket meat for now.

*she suddenly kicked them off bending she scooped them up running to the edge of small boulder to grab her own shoes, turning she ran to follow him, she watched in silence as he checked each trap having no clue why it be so hard to find fresh? food.* "Winter storage." *all she said..what her people did in the past before the cold gails would come and cover it all in snow and ice. Perhaps she needed to teach him this? she see later. For now it seemed he was taking her to a place she wasn't keen on yet knowing but then....even in her village you really never got a option of waiting for anything.*
