At least his body heat after absorbing a fire was useful for something apparently. "If you insist, but the exterior lights have been extinguished for now and we/I will be calling it a night shortly as you are exhausted already. We should not need to set any traps for security but if you wish to try quail hunting we can set the traps tonight." He could show her a little more about collecting plants in the dark he supposed. Recognizing animal dangers would take more recognition then he expected her to have just now. He reached into his bags once more extracting a chunk of the black lustrous metal that he grasped in his hand tightly a moment and in the next instant the dark metal became his helmet, elaborate and dark, a shimmering example of some demon beast rendered eternally screaming in rage, cast in metal.

She nodded grabbing her cloak and draping it firmly around her. she tide it in place she pulled her hood over her head."quail it is, and perhaps any herbs."She shivered and covered another yawn "I am trying..........at least i didn't try and poison you this time."She turned away heading out the door down the hall and made her way silently down the stairs. She didn't wait he was far quicker then she and very well knew he only slowed his pace for her and she refused to be as helpless as she first was when she found him. Must been truly annoying she thought to be awoken to find a female that could only manage to change her own clothes and feed herself. well ride as well but aside the point she at one time could not even tend to her own horse let alone feed herself on the herbs and roots he had shown her. she would have starved back then left to own vices. She spoke softly over her shoulder."tonight's lights was a luxury we normally don't have when out here, besides I still have you to save me." She smiled then walked out the main door standing in the darkness letting her eyes adjust to darkness and lateness of the night, the stars shined brightly, being now the only lighting to be her guide. Shadows upon shadows she could never tell for sure. Even if he had plainly told her someday she be able to tell the difference. She still found this hard to be-leave as her slowly adjusted and she stepped further into the night shivering as a breeze slipped beneath her cloak. She watched the stars never seeing what perhaps L.M. saw. she saw only the endless space and the beauty of the stars as she known them all her life. She yawn silently again taking in shallow breaths of cool air, letting it feel her lungs and put a light sting upon her cheeks, hoping it would help make her steps a bit lighter and their chore quicker no matter how tired she was. She swore she never again be so helpless let alone to her companion who never expressed a complaint.

Legion fallowed her down aware silently, donning his helm as he went, he could have sliped past her if he tried, could have done it without her even noticing but their was no point to hurry, the stairs were safer this time. Safer then she recognised at present he noticed, She was tired. He would make the round tour of their trip quicky, he whispered nothing in reply to her comments of his presence to save her or her not attempting to poison him. All things considered they were unessicary, he gathered the spider webs in passing spinning the threads into strong twine with his gloved finger tips. No one else could have done this so quickly but he was Legion after all, both knowlegeable in all things, weaving included, and a beast created by and possesed of Alchemy. He let his senses loose the minute he passed the threashhold of the building. They had already moved many miles off where they had been, no trouble as they were already at their destination. A soft rumple in the distance told him of a waterfall miles off, the change of scent in the air told him they were closer to the open fields and further from the ocean, he could tast the wild wheats in the wind. He liked the ocean, and the mountains much better....Takara had seemed to enjoy these sights also, and he had been greatful to share them with her that first journey together, when she had tried to explain home to him and it had taken nearly a fort night for him to understand that she didn't know the way. It had been amusing teaching her and learning in turn.
"So....What do you see?"
His voice a whisper of an echo from inside his helmet, the dragon like features only noticable from those seemingly demonic ones when he was being polite, and wise rather then feirce or angery.

If he startled none would know for she remained motionless still watching the stars. If anyone noticed at all you might say she relaxed just a hair just knowing he was but a breath away from her. She spoke softly, finding no need in those moments to speak above the noises of the night that reached her ears." I see a endless display of the heavens stars. Such beauty against the blackness with the hint of of blue overlaying it all. I see silver, gold, red, green twinkling within the night and there." She pointed. A fallen body flash across our night sky."She lowered her head turning to almost face him in the darkness. and now I see you looking frightening to those unfamiliar with whom lays in hiding behind the mask that would frighten the dead on sight."she looked up once more."And I see such freedom with no one to answer to there. Just..........each star living as if knows how until it burns out, it's own secrets........where the gods call home and watch us struggle as we learn all over again." She suddenly turned her head as she herd a snapping of the branch tensing as she tried locating from what direction the sound came from. Her small dagger just appearing in her hand once more. more a reflex from Legions training then a danger. She continued to look around as she tried opening her senses . That she was still struggling to learn in view of so much. she slowly turned her eyes slanting to slits as she scanned their surroundings seeing now her companion."You my highness enjoy testing me."It neighed in response to slowly trot up to nuzzle her.

Legion shook his head as he moved past Takara, shoving her horse very gently as he passed, The beast spoiled her. "You see well in your thoughts, and you see the best your vision can allow, but you miss the obviouse." It was both an admonishing truth, and a jest to poke fun at her. "We all know the secret of living, weather we choose to listen to our instinct is another matter entirely. Eat when your hungery, drink when your thirsty, sleep when you are tired, fight to live when some one else would take it from you....shelter from the weather, clothing for protection...Living is no secret, stealing the will to live that is the secret. Weak minded things give up without trying." He turned his head looking through the darkened brush. His own beast was trying to stomp a snake...likely so it could eat the poor thing, his animal was both hunter and scavenger. His fingers finished spinning the threads at last now absently tying the knots to make snares as his steps carried him toward the overgrown garden.

She turned following his motion and words frowning, then glaring at his back. bloody man was teasing her and chastising at the same time. "You asked what I see and I told you as much.....the stealing the will of anything to live is one I can not grasp. weak minded?"Another she never quite understood, things he had a tight grasp on but she found hard to be-leave such things existed here and now.....she was raised only the strong will survive, knowledge was power to change and make things better. she was missing something her that would assist in her understanding and this she always found great frustration in and well he knew it. She suddenly turned her focus in the direction of his hands and watched as he made the snares, how he managed to it out of the spiders web she no clue...she gotten the most basic down with the twine he was teaching her with but the spiders webbing she wondered if anyone could manage it other then himself, but she never dared asked she watch in the shops on the streets when they went threw villages and such. they found her easy on the eye and complimented that she spend such time watching and asking questions in it's making. once she had her answers she moved on to pick up what they needed or to watch another craft being done and do it all over again.

She was a simple if elequent creature at times, curiouse but hardly complex, it was amusingly refreshing in a way to not have to deal with so much stigmata about a subject. "Some people just don't want to struggle through and they end their misery froth with, but those individuals were robbed of their will by something, a creature does not die simply beause it wants to. A wound must be inflicted, even if that wound is only a matter of perception. hall we say observed in the heart or mind rather then the body." He paused allowing her to catch up with his stride. "Lets see if you can identify your vegtables in the dark then; Onions, potatos...carrots, If you can find any, Berries if you want. Cheak the traps in the morning and that should be enough for breakfast and lunch." He held one of the snares aloft examining it before bending a branch of bramble carefully and twisting the little snare into place. "We may end up with phesant over quail....we will have to wait till morning to know for sure."

Her frown increased as she listened nodding every now and then trying to recall if she seen such a thing. Nothing came to mind. Not once had she seen this. in her village or in another. She decided in the moment she half to pay closer attention. She shrugged it off watching as he set the trap nodding as she watched, then headed to the garden she seen him go to earlier when she been tending to the animals, at one point or another. She recalled the gardens in her home and smiled when she found the over grown one her. somehow seemed a bit more beautiful."mmmmmm one or the other will be enough, and they both taste wonderful in a open fire Legion. don't forget we also have the left over rabbit we did not finish." She turned back to running wild garden and carefully made her way stopping now and then as she knelt and slowly and with care digging threw the soil pulling out first the carrots she found, she moved on next to the onions finding them by smell she again dug with care pulling only what they needed for two meals. The potatoes took a but long. She knew the vines to lead her to the hidden treasure but had not dug up many in the time she been taught by Legion in how to find them let alone many fields that grew something that managed to grow almost anywhere there was dirt. At last when she stood holding her small bundle in her cloak look for the berries he mentioned. She found the bush just in the corner of the path to where LM remained. She debated picking them a moment her cloak loaded with her prize and shook her head changing her mind. Come morning if she decided she wanted them then she come back and pick a few for them both as treat perhaps for lunch. for now this seemed more then enough. She continued down the path now heading back inside with her bundle being sure not to loose any of it she walked to the table and placed it where not long ago Legion and prepped their dinner. laying each in groups while checking for any bad spots nodding in satisfaction all was perfect. resting her hands now empty on the back of a chair she arched her back causing the cloaks hood to fall back as she stretched those muscles again closing her eyes.

With the rabbit from tonight and fresh foul in the morning....well he need not catch more then one to feed them both really, still their was always the precaution, after all both traps might still be empty come morning. Legion finished placing the other snare and went about cheaking the boundary of the library. They had a lot more stable space here then he had expected, the ground did not shift independantly and it was still slightly unseteling to him after all the time spent walking across the shifting grounds outside this tiny bubble, still it was but a shifting block, a larger space like a raft floating in the shifting water of the sea, never in the same place just more of it then standing along in the water. The veil held seperate just as he expected it would though it was a thin and battered remenant of itself. They would be fine for now. His eyes lingered over the area's not yet explored, he felt nothing from these, though he had not noticed the Law Machine either...Unsetteling a bit but he was sure that anything else would have shown itself by now. He eased the power release to these areas for now keeping only the Library itself maintained. Everything else had kept all this time without his attention it would last another few days certainly maybe longer. Satisfied with the situation he continued to walk, allowing his sesnes the time and reign shifting uninterupted as he moved through the darkness sometimes now as a large serpent sometimes as something else entirely, when he finally approched the library once more he shifted back to the form of a man. He'd forgotten about the fresh eggs, pitty, maybe he would look tomarrow. His steps carrying him back to the libaray's rear entrance.
"Everything looks fine outside. Its a good thing we have been useing this rear door, the front is blocked off, Hits arely even notiicable really, the front walls must have colapsed in on it. I'll take a closer look in the morning."

She nodded then slowly opened tired eyes."That sounds like a plan AFTER you fix LM." She turned facing him another yawn. She quickly lifted her right hand to cover her it."Now that we are finished...I say rest, or I should say after you yourself have gotten to enjoy that wonderful hot shower you let me try first."She reached out lightly grabbing his arm to tug wanting to head back to the second floor and the office/room they be calling part of their work space and resting place. The thought of fresh clean bedding calling to her as she tugged a bit harder."Come on clean bedding.....you can't tell me even you would not enjoy such a small treat.

Fix the Law Machine...she really didn't ask much did she? He would have to try at least. Legions steps fallowed the woman dragging him forward, though had he resisted even slightly she would have found him imovable. They both needed the rest, the journey had been exhausting, and the preassure to return with acceptable results clung like a anchor in a storm, when what you really needed was to float free. The people...they were suffering, and while this usually created growth it was undeniable that they were smothering under the burden of t rying to survive in the chaos of this world. The joints of his shoulders stiffening a moment as they tried to shift into wings, the shifting of his armor accomodating the slender arch of bone that streached from the blades of his shoulders streaching backward and up over his head, then the arches seemed to burn a moment with a luminouse flame of runes that burst into flame that licked up and down the slender arch of bone causing it to darken and then fall away as ash, and he never lost a step or even seemed to notice. He wondered if they were any closer to answers...he felt his mind scattering like fragments of dust in the wind....
"Cast aside the binding flesh and nought is found but emptyness, the vessels were no more to study, for the body then was needed to observe the soul within, even in its putrid state of rot could the insides be extracted in essence to offer up evidence of the device, wherein they learned to bind the blood and challenge the chemistry on high...brought forth alchemists from the putrid essence that golden substance sublime, not as a stone for it was as a liquid but not a vapor for it was a flame and not as anything they knew but all....and in thinking to control its power it becamse thoughtful, independent of them as they from their own creator. Born from mud and darkness into light and cast aside into the abyss where the eye sees deep and remains unblinking to see all. So is that consuming spirit with in, to seek sumber, the nightmares come from the memory to wake screaming to life for their sins for absolution brought by death, whom they may never seek within. Text number 751 of the alchemical abominations Index, chapter 7....Incredilouse to think of it now...but If I don't recite them once in a while, quote these obserd texts they keep me awake all day untill the dawn."
He looked haggardly tired there for a moment and the voice which spoke was remarcably even for the length of the quotation not for any particular reson Takara would understand otehr then every so often usualy about every six to seven days he would often quote some times single lines and other times entire chapters from Alchemical texts so old as to not longer exist in any other format but for the random words that seemed to float up out of his brain. "Shower and sleep then. " He muttered as they reached the top of the stairs and he headed to the door behind her, his hand already removing his helmet once more, the hair that fell from it was at first scarlet purple and so long it seemed it might never finish falling from with in the helmet and then it was only waist length and silver as he crossed the carpeted flooring with in. "I should not be as long as you were." He offered stooping to grab the bag with his clean change of clothing, courtesy her forthought on the matter. "Would you mind setting up the bed rolls?" He should not feel tired, likely this was a side effect of reamining so tightly bound in form...OR maybe it was her?....Her exhaustion effecting him. So much to understand still.

She paused only when they at last arrived back in this strange office and watched him a moment. "I had planned as much while you showered. Go."She stepped around him and quickly into the bathroom grabbing his now clean bedroll and removed herself so he might enjoy it's moment of privacy and the shower waiting for him. She took her time setting them both up next to one another as they done out in the open. nothing had changed except they where inside a shelter building that still stood unlike far to many whee they made some remarkable finds. was tediouse or getting there. They understood the silent words of the Legion of the cross. they only let her be out this long because so far they always managed to return with something in hand and always useful. The king and her father knew how hard this was and surprised they always managed to pull a rabbit so to speak out from under a tree where there was none or so everyone thought.........Just one thing..please one thing that this time they would not be put on such a limited time line and they forget about finding her a mate? ugh the thought put her stomach in knots. She was in no rush to play breeder. no matter what their thoughts on it. She had other plans and ideas and that was not on the top of her list for a very very long time. her thoughts continued to circle in her mind and before she knew it she standing looking down at their sleeping mats. she grinned then laughed softly as she realized she was still wearing her cloak and quickly removed it and crumpled it into a ball as a makeshift pillow. she knelt placing it on her bed roll then pulled back her blankets slipping inside she closed her eyes letting her thoughts wonderd and soon fell into a light but exhausted sleep.

Legion was several moments unclipping the fastens of his underplates, and working the metal rings from his gloved fingers befor the clank of the metal armour could be heard sliding from his frame. Good thing he hadn't been wearing the full armour he mussed or it might just have damaged the floor. He stripped free of the fabric tunic and began the tediouse process of removing the leather and armour covered boots he wore. These jointed the pile and a moment later the leather pants as well, his naked frame shifting a moment on the open as he adjused the water in the shower. Once inside his tan skin shifted to a more pale hue, silver and blood red runes etching themselves out on the surface as he began to scrub the dirt away amused that Takara had so easily devined the use of a soap dish holder, bright girl he mussed, watching the color of the water change as the grim of their travels was rinced away into the drain. His hair took him a few moments longer its texture changing from thin strands to thicker tangles, to an outright main of fur and then back to hair again throught the process. The benefit of these shifts however allowed him to remove dirt from places that often remained unthought of in modern society today. With the work of cleaning finished he leaned a moment against the wall allowiong the water to cascade downa few moments befor he turned the shower off and removed himself from the steam within after wringing out his waist length black terresses. He stood silent as he focused the heat of his body drying his skin in the open air befor trying to pull leather over damp flesh. Nice to feel clean....breif as that feeling really lasted when one considered the nature of his being. He dumped his laundry out with the rest leaving his boots outside the bathroom door, the clank of his metal joining their bags as he moved out into the office room.
"Tomarrow....should be...interesting." He commended softly joining Takara on the bed rolls. "Rest well, Highness, a lady should never ignore her beauty sleep....even when her mind is so keen to discover the day."
Legion made no pillow only streached his frame comfortably flat on the cusioned roll and closed his violet and gold flecked eyes percieving already those undercurrents of the dimension humanity called dreams.

She slowly awoke to a new day, groaning she buried her head under the blanket as she vaguely recalled Legion saying something to her last night her head to muddled to grasp what ever it was, she been to tired, but knew the moment he layed next to her she fallen into a deeper sleep. her head still resting on Legions chest as she listened in silence to sounds just outside. She remained unmoved a moment thinking if she could sleep in just a tad longer. her mind began to focus on all she seen but the day before clicking off things she needed to do. She rolled as she pulled the blanket covering her head to sit up blowing her hair as if that might move it from her face. Reaching up running fingers threw her long tresses so she could see. She stood up then walking to the bathroom she grabbed her bag on the way closing the door behind. A few minutes later she came up fully dressed her hair brushed and braided. She took a look about the room her direction pulled by the early morning light and watched a moment as the stars faded."Time time like the present." she spoke softly turning she made her way out the door, down the hall to the stairs where she paused. She smiled noticing then they been reinforced. Legion had been busy she thought as she continued heading down them back into the library where she found everything they needed for their breakfast she pulled her tiny knife from it's hidden sheathed case on her wrist and began the chore of chopping up onions, carrots and the potatoes. When done she pushed them aside and went to look in one of their bags for the pot. she decided then a stew would work. would cook quickly enough. She came back tossing the vegetables into the pot frowning a moment as she recalled where legion had put the left over rabbit from the night before. She dug around a bit and found it stored neatly in their food bag and grinned as she spent a few minutes removing what bones she could and tossed it in the pot. Now to prepare our little feast. she smiled at her remark as she made her way outside. she filled the pot with water. Taking a moment she relit the fire stoking it slow burning flames to at last set their breakfast on to cook. She stood slapping her hands together her attention drawn to their animals.

Legion woke more slowly to the day, this was not always the case. More it all seemed to depend on weather his energy was needed in one place or another. Between realms he could function perfectly well as a lookout, or observer, he could maintain his energy levels and power a significant complex such as the one they were staying in with very little effort. To interact however required his physical self, and it is this thought that always brought him awake. Eyes opening to the day he went about flexing his mussels slowly each in turn to be sure everything would function accordingly and then he sat up streaching slowly befor rising to his feet and moving to replace his discarded under armaments. The thinner under plates, and chains that kept him bound coherently. He pulled his boots ona at last and upong fastening them f irmly he heade for the stairs. He left the Law Machine asleep for now, it would not be needed until they begain their work later. For now breakfast perhaps and a discussion of where she, Takara would want to start her day. Researching the ruins or learning the intricacies of book binding.
He's slept later then Takara today he noted, but then she had insisted on cooking breakfast this morning. She was using last night's leftovers and the fresh vegtables, he could already tast the freshly cut items on the air...though to anyone else it might have been to faint. She had not cheaked the snares yet...probably just as well it left him something to begin the morning with...if he caught enough perhaps they could bring back some of these foul to the city for breeding? He might mention it to her when they crossed paths.
"Morning." He muttered at the bottom of the stairs, knowing full well Takara could not hear him from such a distance. He disliked the term good morning because honestly it seemed the general concensus of individuals that morning was only good because you woke up...mostly it was thought of as early and laborus...odd since no individual could stomach the concept of not waking up the next morning. The fact he made very little noise coming down the stairs even wearing partial armor was really a feat that could only be attributed to his experience. He was already heading out the doors now however to go cheak the snares personally.
